I wonder about the details of work and inspiration of creative people. I'm sure there is as wide a range here as in all areas of life - from the prolific to the lazy. I use these two words as bookends, having heard them applied to writers, especially, but also to painters and musicians. Cranking out material daily to bursts of creativity to a seeming reluctance (yet nearly on-demand production) only when the mood strikes or circumstances require (to pay the vulgar bills of everyday existence). Most of us, like me, are admirers and consumers of the creatives, like you, enriching lives. Thanks,Glenn.
Thank you! I enjoy the creative process, coming up with an idea and then executing it, massaging it along the way. It’s especially enjoyable when it’s a topic about which you’re passionate.
The Trevor Bauer saga fascinates me. It cannot be that none of the 30 owners has the gumption to give the guy a second chance. Trevor may have been convicted in the court of public opinion. But even there, there are ample opportunities for early release for good behavior. Trevor is a generous and gifted pitching instructor as well as professional baseball player. i think the chances he inspires a fanbase are at least as great as he divides one. Same for a clubhouse. Obviously i do not know the man, but the product he has produced on the field and over twitter is top notch. no pro sport is exclusively populated by model citizens, why oh why is trevor not getting another chance?
I’d ask the teams for which he’s already played and already had success. Why do the people who know him best have no interest? Makes you wonder. Sometimes the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.
