If the Marlins add at the trade deadline it needs to be more than a rental. I do not like the idea of adding just to add someone, they need to be part of the plan moving forward and worth the prospects they give up.
I agree completely. Prices will be high with the large number of teams that will be buying and with many of them in the market for the same commodities. Will be very challenging for the Marlins because there's not much they'd be willing to part with off their ML roster that is of value to selling teams, and they do not have as many high-end prospects as they seemed to not that long ago. A small number have graduated to the majors. Some have dealt with injuries. Some have been over-hyped. And some have seen their prospect star dim due to disappointing performance.
