Thoughts this week: LOL at the Cubs $40 million managerial move. Nice Arizona Fall League stints for Berry and Nuñez. Both topped it off with impressive showings in the championship game. It's the time of year for everyone's obligatory FA lists. Marlins Maniac lists Hunter Renfoe ($11 million failure), Tim Anderson (head case), and Paul DeJong (he brings what to the table over Amaya for five times the money?). This conventional patchwork foolishness, though, is typical for every team. Many such articles and fan spoutings start with "I'm not considering the luxury tax threshold or last season's payroll." I understand that no one cares about owners' money, etc. But, as you noted many times, are those unrealistic expectations helpful?
