Let’s try something a little different today. I’m looking for your suggestions for building the ultimate 26-man roster in Major League Baseball among players who will be active in 2024.

Give me your team in the comments below.

But listen carefully to the rules. Here’s what I need:

• A starting 9 with one player at each of the 8 defensive positions plus a designated hitter.

• 5 starting pitchers.

• 8 relief pitchers (any number of whom can be closers).

• 4 bench players (a second catcher and some combination of 3 infielders or outfielders, at least one of each).

But here’s the important catch that kicks this up a notch: YOU CAN ONLY SELECT ONE PLAYER PER MAJOR LEAGUE TEAM.

So you can have Gerrit Cole as your Yankee. Or Aaron Judge. Or Juan Soto. But you cannot have more than one of them.

You can have Shohei Ohtani as your Dodger. Or Freddie Freeman. Or Mookie Betts. But you cannot have more than one of them.

There will be 4 big league clubs not represented on your roster.
