Now that the dust has settled from Major League Baseball’s trade deadline, here’s a look at a few notes that came out of the sport’s annual swap meet.
NOT OVER THE HILL
Dealt from the Pirates to the Padres Tuesday at the age of 43 years, 4 months and 21 days, lefthander Rich Hill, the oldest active player in the big leagues, became the oldest player to be traded since Jamie Moyer (43 years, 9 months, and 1 day) went from the Mariners to the Phillies August 19, 2006.
