The Marlins tonight begin a season-ending road trip to New York and Pittsburgh with the playoffs so close they can almost touch them.
Almost. But there’s still work to be done.
With 2 series remaining to play, the Marlins stand one game behind the D-Backs and Cubs, needing to simply finish tied with one of them after 162 games to earn a Wild Card spot by virtue of finishing 4-2 against both teams to capture the head-to-head tiebreakers.
