Happy (Luke) Easter!
Today seems like the perfect day to remember Luscious "Luke" Easter, far more accomplished on the diamond than Steve Christmas
Luke Easter was a larger-than-life star in the Negro National League, in several minor league cities and with the Cleveland Indians. The only thing as powerful as his bat, which produced monumental home runs everywhere he played, was his personality.
He was a beloved baseball figure, whose story isn’t as widely known as it should be.
If you’d like to learn more about Luke Easter and his place in Baseball history, I highly recommend this SABR biography.
